Research interests
Maintenanceoptimization for production systems.The research is focused on the analysis of maintenance policies considering the influence of some important factors for several types of production systems. The related factors include: A) spare parts ordering and inventory holding; B) buffer inventory controlling; C) the feedback of production quality information; D) the production rate judgment. The considered types of production system contain: A) single-installation system; B) multi-installation system; C) serial system; D) parallel system. For certain type of system, the interactions between maintenance activity and some or all of the above factors are investigated, and the related control parameters are determined to reduce the system cost. Mathematical modeling, intelligent algorithm, and simulation are usual methods during the research.
